Lanka
The Battle of Lanka was fought in 1500 BC in South India during the Vedic era, a siege engagement against Rakshasas. It ended in victory for the Indian side.
Historical Note
Rama with his army of monkeys built a bridge of floating stones to the demon-king Ravana's gold-bricked island fortress. Days of single combat ended when Rama's arrow split Ravana's ten heads from his neck.
