Indian Battles
Massaga
The Battle of Massaga was fought in 327 BC in Indus Valley during the Macedonian Invasion era, a siege engagement against Macedonians. It ended in defeat for the Indian side.
Historical Note
Alexander besieged the Aśvaka stronghold; the queen Cleophis and 7,000 Indian mercenaries held out for days. When they surrendered under truce, Alexander had them all massacred — the blackest mark on his Indian campaign.
