Indian Battles

Saka War

The Battle of Saka War was fought in 395 AD in Deccan during the Gupta era, a land engagement against Western Satraps. It ended in victory for the Indian side.

Historical Note

Chandragupta II ended four centuries of foreign Saka rule in western India. He took the title Vikramaditya — 'Sun of Prowess' — and the trade ports of Bharuch and Sopara. India was whole from sea to sea.
