Kurukshetra

The Battle of Kurukshetra was fought in 1200 BC in Ganges Valley during the Vedic era, a land engagement against Kauravas. It ended in victory for the Indian side.

Historical Note

Eighteen days of war between cousin Pandavas and Kauravas at the field of Kuru. Krishna drove Arjuna's chariot and delivered the Bhagavad Gita on the eve of battle. The Pandavas won; their teacher Bhishma fell on a bed of arrows.
