Indian Battles
Ten Kings
The Battle of Ten Kings was fought in 1400 BC in Indus Valley during the Vedic era, a land engagement against Ten-King Confederacy. It ended in victory for the Indian side.
Historical Note
Sudas of the Tritsus, with the seer Vasishtha invoking Indra, broke the river-dykes of the Parushni (Ravi) and drowned an alliance of ten rival tribes. The seminal battle of the Rig Veda — and the first dated event in Indian history.
