Kashi
The Battle of Kashi was fought in 570 BC in Ganges Valley during the Mahajanapada era, a land engagement against Kashi. It ended in victory for the Indian side.
Historical Note
Bimbisara of Magadha married a Kosalan princess whose dowry included the city of Kashi. When his son Ajatashatru murdered him, Kosala revoked the dowry; Ajatashatru took the city back by force. Magadha's grip on the Ganges tightened.
