The Battle of Aryavarta was fought in 340 AD in Ganges Valley during the Gupta era, a land engagement against Nine Kings. It ended in victory for the Indian side.

Samudragupta's first great campaign: nine kings of the Ganges plain were defeated and their territories absorbed outright. The Allahabad pillar lists every name — a roll-call of vanished dynasties.
