Unas was an Egyptian pharaoh active in the 24th c. BC during the Old Kingdom period from the state of 5th Dynasty. Died of natural causes.
Historical Note
Last pharaoh of the 5th Dynasty. The first to inscribe the Pyramid Texts on his burial chamber walls — spells to ferry the king to the stars. The oldest religious literature in the world, and the seed of the later Book of the Dead.
