Djoser was an Egyptian pharaoh active in the 27th c. BC during the Old Kingdom period from the state of 3rd Dynasty. Died of natural causes.
Historical Note
Third Dynasty pharaoh for whom Imhotep raised the world's first monumental stone building — the Step Pyramid at Saqqara. Before him, kings were buried in mud-brick mastabas. After him, the pyramid age began.
