Egyptian Pharaohs
Seti I
Restorer of the Borders
Seti I was an Egyptian pharaoh active in the 13th c. BC during the New Kingdom period from the state of 19th Dynasty. Died of natural causes.
Historical Note
Father of Ramesses II. Restored Egypt's frontiers after the Amarna chaos with hard campaigns in Canaan and Libya, and built the most beautiful tomb in the Valley of the Kings. His mummy's face is the best-preserved royal portrait we have.
