The Battle of Cynoscephalae was fought in 197 BC in Greece during the Republic era, a land engagement against Macedonia. It ended in victory for the Roman side.
Historical Note
The Roman legion broke the Macedonian phalanx on broken ground. The Hellenistic age of pike warfare effectively ended here.
