Aquae Sextiae

The Battle of Aquae Sextiae was fought in 102 BC in Gallia during the Republic era, a land engagement against Cimbri/Teutones. It ended in victory for the Roman side.

Historical Note

Marius annihilated the Teutones in southern Gaul. The captured women reportedly killed their children and themselves rather than be enslaved.
