Roman Battles

Allia

The Battle of Allia was fought in 390 BC in Italia during the Republic era, a land engagement against Gallic Tribes. It ended in defeat for the Roman side.

Historical Note

A panic-rout against Brennus's Gauls. Three days later they sacked Rome itself — the only foreign sack of the city until Alaric in 410 AD.
