Antigonus I

Monophthalmus

Antigonus I was a Greek king active in the 4th c. BC during the Hellenistic period based in Macedon. Was killed in battle.

Historical Note

One-eyed bodyguard of Alexander who came closest to reuniting the empire. Defeated and killed at 81 at Ipsus (301 BC) — his death froze the Hellenistic map into the kingdoms history would inherit.
