Siege of Syracuse

The Battle of Siege of Syracuse was fought in 415 BC in Sicily during the Classical era, a siege engagement against Syracuse. It ended in defeat for the Greek side.

Historical Note

Athens sent its greatest fleet and army to conquer Sicily. Two years later, both were annihilated. The disaster broke Athenian power for the rest of the Peloponnesian War.
