The Battle of Mantinea (I) was fought in 418 BC in Peloponnese during the Classical era, a land engagement against Sparta. It ended in defeat for the Greek side.

Historical Note

Largest hoplite battle of the Peloponnesian War. King Agis II restored Spartan supremacy after Pylos and crushed Alcibiades' anti-Spartan coalition.
