Nectanebo I was an Egyptian pharaoh active in the 4th c. BC during the Late Period period from the state of 30th Dynasty. Died of natural causes.
Historical Note
Founded the 30th Dynasty by overthrowing his predecessor in a coup. Repelled a Persian invasion at Mendes (374 BC) and built so many temples that he is sometimes called the last great native builder. His grandson would be the last native pharaoh.
