Osiris

Lord of the Dead — Green-Skinned King

Osiris is an Egyptian god of death, associated with the realm of underworld. Osiris belongs to the first generation of the pantheon. Roughly equivalent to Hades in cross-pantheon mapping. Symbolised by the crook & flail.

Historical Note

Murdered and dismembered by his brother Set, who scattered his fourteen pieces across Egypt. Isis gathered them, reassembled him, and bore Horus by him. He went down to rule the dead, and every Egyptian hoped to follow.
