The Battle of Libyan War I was fought in 1180 BC in Delta during the New Kingdom era, a land engagement against Libyans. It ended in victory for the Egyptian side.
Historical Note
Ramesses III's fifth-year war against the Libu and Meshwesh confederation that had pushed into the western Delta. He crushed them at Pi-yer; his Medinet Habu reliefs show the piled hands and phalluses of the slain by the thousand.
