Egyptian Battles
Battle of the Nile
The Battle of Battle of the Nile was fought in 47 BC in Delta during the Ptolemaic era, a land engagement against Ptolemy XIII. It ended in victory for the Egyptian side.
Historical Note
Caesar — besieged in the Alexandrian palace with the teenaged Cleopatra — broke out when Mithridates of Pergamon brought a relief column. The pharaoh Ptolemy XIII drowned in the Nile fleeing. Cleopatra got the throne and Caesar's child.
