Egyptian Battles
Actium
The Battle of Actium was fought in 31 BC in Aegean during the Ptolemaic era, a naval engagement against Rome. It ended in defeat for the Egyptian side.
Historical Note
Antony and Cleopatra met Octavian's fleet off the Acarnanian coast. Agrippa's lighter ships outmaneuvered Antony's heavier ones; Cleopatra's squadron broke off mid-battle and Antony followed her. The empire of the East was lost in an afternoon.
