Chinese Battles
Hefei
The Battle of Hefei was fought in 215 AD in Yangtze during the Three Kingdoms era, a land engagement against Wu. It ended in victory for the Chinese side.
Historical Note
Zhang Liao led 800 picked men in a dawn raid against Sun Quan's 100,000. He cut his way to within sight of the king's banner and back. Sun Quan barely escaped on a leaping horse; Wu mothers used Zhang Liao's name to quiet crying children.
