Mingtiao
The Battle of Mingtiao was fought in 1600 BC in Central Plains during the Shang era, a land engagement against Xia. It ended in victory for the Chinese side.
Historical Note
Tang of Shang ended the Xia dynasty here. Heavy rain on the eve of battle was read as a sign that Heaven had withdrawn its mandate from the tyrant Jie.
