Thales of Miletus was a Greek sage active in the 6th c. BC during the Archaic period based in Miletus. Died of natural causes.
Historical Note
First of the Seven Sages and the first man Aristotle called a philosopher. Predicted a solar eclipse in 585 BC, measured pyramids by their shadows, and held that all things are water.
