Perseus of Macedon was a Greek king active in the 2nd c. BC during the Hellenistic period based in Macedon. Died: imprisonment.

Historical Note

Last king of independent Macedon. Defeated by Rome at Pydna (168 BC), paraded in Aemilius Paullus's triumph, and died in Roman captivity at Alba Fucens.
