Antiochus IV was a Greek king active in the 2nd c. BC during the Hellenistic period based in Syria. Died of natural causes.
Historical Note
Seleucid king who plundered the Temple in Jerusalem and triggered the Maccabean Revolt. Earlier, at Eleusis, a single Roman ambassador drew a circle around him in the sand and made him retreat.
