Hades

God of the Underworld

Hades is a Greek god of death, associated with the realm of underworld. Hades belongs to the chthonic generation of the pantheon. Roughly equivalent to Pluto in cross-pantheon mapping. Symbolised by the bident.

Historical Note

Hades rarely left the underworld. He was not evil but inexorable — he accepted all equally in death. His helmet of invisibility was lent to Perseus and Hermes on various quests.
