Greek Battles
Nemea
The Battle of Nemea was fought in 394 BC in Peloponnese during the Classical era, a land engagement against Sparta. It ended in defeat for the Greek side.
Historical Note
Largest hoplite battle since Plataea. Spartan king Aristodemus's right wing rolled up the allied line; the surviving anti-Spartan coalition retreated to Corinth and the long Corinthian War continued without resolution.
