The Battle of Mycale was fought in 479 BC in Anatolia during the Classical era, a land engagement against Persia. It ended in victory for the Greek side.
Historical Note
Allied Greek fleet landed in Ionia and destroyed the Persian army ashore — on the same day as Plataea, said Herodotus. Ionia rebelled against Persia for the last time.
