The Battle of Mantinea was fought in 362 BC in Peloponnese during the Classical era, a land engagement against Sparta. It ended in victory for the Greek side.

Historical Note

Theban victory under Epaminondas — but he was killed in the moment of triumph. Without him, the brief Theban hegemony collapsed immediately.
