Sima Yi was a Chinese strategist active in the 3rd c. AD during the Three Kingdoms period from the state of Wei. Died of natural causes.
Historical Note
Wei strategist who outlived every rival including Zhuge Liang. Feigned sickness for years, then seized Wei in a single dawn coup in 249. His grandson founded the Jin dynasty on the foundation he laid.
