Duke of Zhou was a Chinese regent active in the 11th c. BC during the Western Zhou period from the state of Zhou. Died of natural causes.

Historical Note

Younger brother of King Wu. Acted as regent for his nephew without seizing the throne, crushed a rebellion, and codified the rituals that defined Chinese statecraft for 3,000 years.
