Tang of Shang was a Chinese king active in the 17th c. BC during the Bronze Age period from the state of Shang. Died of natural causes.
Historical Note
Overthrew the tyrant Jie of Xia at Mingtiao and founded the Shang dynasty. Ruled by virtue and rain returned after seven years of drought — said the chroniclers.
