the Flying General
Li Guang was a Chinese general active in the 2nd c. BC during the Western Han period from the state of Han. Took his own life.
Historical Note
The Flying General — said to have once shot an arrow through a rock he mistook for a tiger. Fought the Xiongnu for forty years across seventy engagements. Cut his own throat after a final disgrace in old age.
