Jiang Ziya was a Chinese strategist active in the 11th c. BC during the Western Zhou period from the state of Zhou. Died of natural causes.
Historical Note
Fished at the Wei River until King Wen, looking for a sage, found him at eighty. Became chief strategist of Zhou and was given Qi as his fief — founding the dukedom that ruled it for centuries.
