The Battle of Pharsalus was fought in 48 BC in Greece during the Republic era, a land engagement against Pompeians. It ended in victory for the Roman side.
Historical Note
Caesar destroyed Pompey's larger army with a fourth line held in reserve. The Republic, effectively, ended here.
