Miltiades was a Greek strategos active in the 5th c. BC during the Classical period based in Athens. Died: imprisonment.
Historical Note
Led the Athenian charge at Marathon at a full run to negate Persian archers. Later disgraced, jailed, and died of a wound from a failed expedition.
