Liu Bei

Bearer of the Han Mantle

Liu Bei was a Chinese emperor active in the 3rd c. AD during the Three Kingdoms period from the state of Shu. Died of natural causes.

Historical Note

Claimed descent from a Han prince. Spent decades as a wandering warlord before founding the kingdom of Shu Han in the southwest. Died of grief after losing at Yiling.
