Chinese Rulers
Lian Po
the Ageless General
Lian Po was a Chinese general active in the 3rd c. BC during the Warring States period from the state of Zhao. Died: exile.
Historical Note
Zhao's veteran. Held off Qin for years at Changping by sheer caution — until a court intrigue swapped him out for the boastful Zhao Kuo, and 400,000 Zhao soldiers were buried alive. Died begging for a recall.
