Tarquinius Priscus was a king of Rome active in the 6th c. BC originally from Etruria. Held power for 38 years and was assassinated.

Historical Note

First Etruscan king of Rome. Began the Cloaca Maxima (the Great Sewer) and the Temple of Jupiter on the Capitoline. Murdered by the sons of Ancus.
