Conon was a Greek admiral active in the 4th c. BC during the Classical period based in Athens. Died: exile.

Historical Note

Athenian admiral who escaped Aegospotami, served Persia, and crushed the Spartan fleet at Cnidus (394 BC). Used Persian gold to rebuild the Long Walls of Athens.
