Handan

The Battle of Handan was fought in 228 BC in Central Plains during the Warring States era, a siege engagement against Zhao. It ended in victory for the Chinese side.

Historical Note

Wang Jian besieged Zhao's capital after a long campaign of attrition. The last Zhao king Qian was taken prisoner. The kingdom that had bled Qin at Changping ended in a single winter.
