Gondophares was an Indian king active in the 1st c. AD during the Post-Maurya period from the state of Indo-Parthian. Died of natural causes.
Historical Note
Indo-Parthian king of the first century AD whose realm stretched from Sistan to the Indus. The Acts of Thomas reports him as the king at whose court the apostle Thomas built a palace — and converted the king.
