Kali

the Black One — Devourer of Time

Kali is an Indian goddess of magic, associated with the realm of underworld. Kali belongs to the first generation of the pantheon. Roughly equivalent to Hecate in cross-pantheon mapping. Symbolised by the skull garland.

Historical Note

Sprang from Durga's forehead in the final battle, drank the blood of the demon Raktabija before each drop could spawn another demon. Danced on her own consort Shiva until he spoke her name. Goddess of time and destruction.
